To carry out its mission in a concrete and operational way, GTAGlobal Tapestry of Alternatives develops around 5 specific lines of action that organize the annual objectives. By it's lines of actions, the GTA tends to:

• [A] Document : Foster platforms and spaces of exchange, mutual learning, documentation and vibility of the project amongst existing alternatives.
• [B] Disseminate : Propagate the idea and visibility and process of the GTA among different media
• [C] Connect : Create a space for already existing networks to connect and engage cross-sectorally.
• [D] Stimule : Stimulating new networking and weaving. Enable and stimulate new networks / confluences of alternatives in countries or regions that do not have them, by providing key lessons from current GTA's Weavers.
• [E] Support : Develop strategies and actions of solidarity and support with allied projects and networks

In the following section we describe the objectives per year. The specified letter connect each objective with the Lines of Actions described above. This is an organic plan that is regularly updated.

• Link of local/regional networks articulating earthy alternative experiences at the grassroots in at least two countries –India (Vikalp Sangam) and Mexico (Crianza Mutua). [C]
• Issue the call for a GTA, with a full list of endorsements; and identifying a global set of partners with/by whom activities can be organised. [B]
• Introduce the GTA idea in different gatherings and conferences. [B]
• Create a web presence to communicate GTA in a global level. First version of the website available in www.globaltapestryofalternatives.org [B]

• Building techno-political infrastructures to make visible the global tapestry of alternatives. [A]
• Developing concrete and operational tools for Weavers to deepen their autonomy; expand and strengthen their networks; promote mapping and self-documentation of their members actions and practices. [A]
• Starting the definition of a common Open Framework for the identification, description and understanding of alternatives around the globe. [A] [D]
• Expand communication by sending regular newsletters. [B]
• Launch a serie of webinars and online workshop promoting endorsers involvement. [B]
• Promoting more participation in International meetings of people/organizations/networks with similar activities and concerns. [B]
• Build a collaborative open documentation platform that connects the different mappings of each WeaverA local, regional, or national network or organization that connects or consists of multiple Alternatives on different themes/spheres, in an inter-sectorial way. A global network cannot be a Waever, neither a thematic one. It should be a collective process of some kind, rather than only a single individual or single organization. By being a "weaver", they are committed to participate in the GTA, developing ways of dialogue, interconnection, collaboration and solidarity with other Weavers. GTA promotes the interconnection of the Weavers, identifying [[:weavers:criteria|a series common criteria for the weaving of Alternatives]]. Examples: Vikalp Sangam and Crianza Mutua., establishing GTA as meta-network or “network of networks”. [C]
• Connecting with other networks and adding them as weavers in the GTA. [C]
• Promoting local/national networks initiatives in other countries. [D]
• Initiate or strengh mutual connections (sharing information and ideas, practical collaborations) amongst alternative initiatives (groups, movements, networks and processes). [D]
• Supporting spin-off and related projects, like the already existing PeDAGoG (Post-Development Academic-Activist Global Group). [B] [D]
• Produce a charter/declaration or manifesto that publicly expose a minimal core of agreements of the GTA's networked members. [B] [C] [D]

• Create a toolbox of resources to weave local and thematic networks to promote the creation of new weavers
• National meetings for building alliances between alternative experiences (and resistance movements they are linked to) in the countries where they are already articulated; encouraging the spread of such initiatives into new areas.
• Similar processes promoted in at least 20 countries/regions in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe.
• First global meeting of those participating in the GTA.
• Expressions of solidarity with movements, either as the GTA or as a listing of its participating organisations/movements.
• Emergence of the GTA as a global forum for full range of activities relating to systemic transformation, in close collaboration with global fora like the WSF.

• Facilitating establishment of autonomous regional ‘enclaves’ in all the countries where it would be possible, learning from the experiences of the Zapatista in Chiapas and the Kurdish initiative in Rojava.
• Continued plugging into efforts, initiatives and mobilizations openly challenging the dominant system and advocating systemic alternatives in appropriate spaces, conditions and circumstances.
• Continued global campaigns of information about the initiative, global/regional meetings, and documentation/outreach.
• Consolidation of GTA as a global forum for a full range of activities relating to systemic transformation.
